Weight Training Workout to Build Muscle for Beginners & Seniors // Strength w/ Dumbbells

Need to gain muscle strength due to sarcopenia (muscle loss) or weight loss drugs? This is the perfect 30 minute strength training workout for you! These exercises are ideal for beginners and will help build lean muscle mass.

This full body workout is all standing and is set to a timer where exercises are performed for 45 seconds followed by a 15 second rest. Please go at a pace that is comfortable for you. For reference, I'm using a set of 5 pound (2.2 kg) dumbbells. Please start with lighter weights, or no weights at all if you are just starting out. Feeling strong? grab those heavier weights! Make sure you follow the warm up and cool down in this video. Stretching helps with mobility, reduces soreness and leaves you feeling good.
