Strength Training for Seniors & Beginners // Full Body Isometric Exercises /// 39min
Strengthen and tone your total body with this great strength workout that perfect for everyone including beginners and seniors! You can make this video your own based on how heavy your weights are and the depth or height of your position during the hold.
I'm using two sets of hand weights 3 pounds and 8 pounds. Please use a weight that's appropriate but challenging for you.
This video is an isometric workout. After 15 seconds of a dynamic move, we will hold that position for 30 seconds. Holding the static position challenges your muscles in a different way and studies show that it can help decrease your blood pressure.
The first half of the workout is performed in a standing position, and the second half is on the floor/mat followed by a stretching cool down.
Please have a chair available for the standing leg section. The exercises can be challenging for your balance.
