Introduction to Strength Training for Beginners & Seniors // All Standing, START HERE!
Want to start strength training but don't know where to begin? Start here! This all standing workout is designed to show you the basics of lifting weights. This is the perfect video to do until you are comfortable with these exercises before moving on to compound moves or heavier weights.
Please go at your own pace and use weights that are appropriate for you. I'm using a set of 5 pounds (2.2 kg) dumbbells, but start with light weights or even water bottles or soup cans. This quick workout is also osteoporosis friendly. There are no moves that involve rounding or twisting your back. Strengthening your muscles is also great for building bone density!
Thanks for working out with me! Please leave me a comment and let me know how you enjoyed this video and share with a friend :)
